Some accounts of Arthurian legend tell of how the knight Lancelot’s desire for Arthur’s Queen ultimately leads to the Battle of Camlann in which Arthur is mortally wounded. There are several clues that Camlann was in fact the ancient settlement of Slaughterbridge in Cornwall, including King Arthur’s stone, a Celtic memorial stone found there which bears ancient inscriptions from the Arthurian era.
